Doubtful since their warranty does not transfer to a second hand buyer. If I were to buy an iPod and then sell it on ebay a few weeks later the new owner would not be covered.
This is indeed what Apple's warranty document says. However, that clause might not be enforceable/legal in some jurisdictions.
In practice, Apple have always honored their warranty regardless of whether you're the original owner.

I received a call from ATT just yesterday. I have a small business account with 4 phones. My account came up on his list (thought it was nice he called). He said i could get a 5th phone for almost free since I would then qualify for 8% discount with 5 phones. I could also drop down from 1400 min to 700 since I am not even close to 700 min (last 4 months). I said, yeah since A-LIST (10 any phone numbers) I hardly ever call anyone where it cost me minutes. He said, oh yeah that would be a problem because you loose A-LIST if you drop to 700 min. Prior to A-LIST I would normally not go over 700 min. I now have maybe 10,000 rollover min. I will never use all of my minutes even without this. Of course I have the unlimited texting with 4 phones at $30 per month. Also, with the iPhone generally just TEXT and not actually make a call.

You don't need to know a year ahead of Apple's product launch dates to run your business. There are lots of professionals using 5 year old software to get their millions of dollars of worth work done. I like software upgrades as much as the next guy, but just because it's cool to install new stuff, not that I'll be able to do much more than I can do right now with the new software.Big business will turn over machines every 2 years wether they need it or not. They have to budget for new equipment so they need to know what is down the pipeline.

HDMI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI) is a video/audio output standard that combines DVI video and optical out audio.
Sound familiar?
Yes, the MacBook Pro has both DVI out and optical audio out ports. Use a DVI to HDMI cable and a optical audio cable, and there is no need to have a dedicated HDMI output. In fact, as the MacBook Pro has a dual-link DVI port, it has the ability to power more than 1080p. Combine this with the included Apple Remote for Front Row, and you have yourself a (somewhat expensive) media center (with an unnecessary screen?;) ).
irmongoose
That would work--when I get a MBP (D2C). My current 'book has S video and 1/8" audio out, which was fine three years ago. I currently run component from my HD sat receiver to the plasma, optical to my HT system and HDMI from the HT to the plasma. I like Multimedia's idea of using an EyeTV DVR and a Mac Mini I have sitting in the play room. I've got DVR on my standard sets upstairs and it's quite addicting.
Multimedia--thanks for reminding me about the ElGato systems. My wife and I were just talking about upgrading the HD receiver to a DVR but for the same price I can own the EyeTV DVR and use my Mac Mini with it.

Ok apparently there are different Applications provided from Hamachi. You just have to pick the right one.
Why do they even write different applications and not an all-in-one one ?

This is great news if it means the end of mobile me. Die Mobile Me - DIE DIE DIE. Anything will be better than the self centered sounding @me.com. I simply will not use the email address in a professional context. Don't mind @Mac.com, and still use it, but @me.com sends the wrong message.
Why would you use any @isp for a professional email address??
For $10/year you should have name@domain.com

Are you referring to Lord of the Rings Online or are you referring to something else? Lord of the Rings Online is a Windows based game so you would need to run it on Bootcamp or through a program like Parallels.

What interface/app are you using to watch video and from what streaming source?
From what you explain I would guess you are running h.264 streams that may be beyond your Macs capability. My single 1.8 7448 G4 would easily outperform your dual 867 and I can't go above 480p h.264.
For the best video playback experience on your hardware I would restrict it to 480p and lower h.264 and DivX/XviD up to 720p. It's also all about the player you use. On PowerPC chips Quicktime generally uses up to double the CPU vs. VLC or Mplayer.
Give me specifics about codec and apps used and I can help you solve this issue no matter what video card you have.
I was going to dispute you and say old dual 500mhz cube cube play 720p files with the stock Geoforce card but I remembered that was running the multi-thread variant of MPlayer. That might work for you.
