I am in for Gandhigiri. I remember we celebrate aniversaries of the success we had when we did this 1st time and only time. Its time we do it again.
I know many people whose cases are ready to be adjucated are keeping a silent note core members or others, and they will become active again when numbers become unavailable.. which makes sense like in many cases. What will you do if your date is current.. be very hopeful for hearing the good news.. and not try to get ANY attention, . right.. Sorry if I hurt anyone,. but what are we waiting for.. economy to pick up??.
But I know many people out there are not even close to or hopeful if the numbers become current.. LETS DO IT. We request IV core to come forward and start a campaign. Please help.

We admit that under the current environment of historical economic crisis and rising unemployment, economic stimulus and financial bailout should be the top priority for the government's agenda. However, it does not mean that the other important parts of the nation's policies should remain on hold. We have learned a lesson from the past eight years that leaders' total obsession with only one agenda, "war," led to neglecting of almost all other parts of the country's policies and people's life , including deteriorating economic competitiveness, education, healthcare, arts, etc. and the country is now paying its price. Look at the state of our country's education. Priority in policies should not mean that all other important nation's agenda should remain in standstill.

I came to us in 1999 did my masters here in US and graduated in 2001.
I worked for some time on OPT and then went back to work in India.
I came back in 2005 , the immigration situation being very bad with retrogression I applied for canada immigration from US ( from india
there is a severe backlog...canada has a per immigration visa post backlog unlike us which has per birth country backlog)
I recently got Canada PR , I joined the MBA here at U of Toronto.
Had I been in my early 20s I would have thought about US imigration.
Nowdays it take 7 to 8 years ....thats more than 10 to 15% of your productive life.
I have talked to my friends ( from IIT delhi ) all of them have same opinion...its a lost cause
now. Now that theyhave invested 5 years they dont want to quit.
Only 1 in know who did MS in US and got GC. Rest were all PhD who got GC through EB1.
EB2 , EB3 is all dead now.
Now it too late I need to settled . How can I marry with the insecurity of moving from place to place in search of contract project, bodyshopper eating avay 30% of your billing rate etc.
I have given up hope. There are challenges in Canada as job market is
not that great but atleast I can sleep at night without having to worry
about the immigration. Ihave one more friend working in Canada he also moved from US.
The salary rate etc is lot lower in fact. On the whole Canada is hard for foreign educated...

I am working on Company A in H1B status my GC sponsored Company B for Future Employment and they applied 140 its Approved suddenly dates became current I applied AOS with 140 Approved in July afte that we got our EADS APs FPs all etc. my sponsored employer asked to join then I joined in Company B on EAD status

We got a rejection notice for my wife's 485 & 765 application. The notice said

My PD is Mar 2005, EB2 and my 485 is pending since aug 2007.

Will I be breaking any laws if I just do voluntary marketing and promotional work for my company in India.
Here is the situation :
My clients will be in USA and they will be paying my company in India. I will be on the board of the company , and will be doing voluntary marketing and promotional work for the company while residing in USA.
Thank you for your time.
Your H-1b must be sponsored by a US company. H-1b terms require you to gainfully work only for that employer. As long as your US tax returns do not show any other source of income and show you have been working fulltime for your sponsoring employer, you should be fine.
They do not bother with foreign wages or what you do with your free time ( as long as it inot a second job).

It seems like the subject is solved sort of, but if your camera exports an EXIF (Extended Information or whatever it's called), it should give the focal length in the EXIF for the image. So you could take a few pictures at different lengths and view the image information in Photoshop (or whatever good picture editor you like to use).

I wonder why do they waste time drafting these non starters. Waste of paper and Printer ink is at the most that these Bills go to .. "SAVE" the trees at least .

Past 180 days, I-140 revocation does not create any problems. Even if you get H1 transferred, you can still get EAD renewed. Make sure new job has job duties 'same/similar' (soc codes matches)

I have been through a couple of acquisitions. You dont need to do anything with the h1b.
But for travel - Whenever you are travel outside US, keep a newspaper clipping of the acquisition. Also take a letter from your HR stating you have been working for Company B, which was acquired by Company A and that you continue to work with the new organization.

"july 12 2007" will be the important date. It will be there as an USCIS stamp in the App. You can re-submit this app in Oct 2007 even if there is no visa available for your PD in Oct, 2007. It will be treated as if it was received on "july 12 2007".

On the infopass web site, there are four categories, and I can't relate to any of them. I don't have an SR because the rep refused to open one; I don't have a notice. Is it still possible to go for infopass?

irrational - Sorry to say this is little bit unlucky case. This happened to me also. My case got transferred to VSC from TSC in July 2009 and from then it is sitting there with no progress. Taken info pass but no use. (Yet to think about the next steps!).
I applied for EAD and AP in Aug last week and got the approved copies in Sep second week. I sent the application to TSC.
mmanurker - Can you please tell me how long your application was present in VSC? Also did you do anything to move it back to TSC or NSC.
My little daughter's got shuffled from TSC-VSC (NBC?) and after several months got a mail transferred back to TSC. I talked with IO twice, one time I was told they got it back in last oct and this evening I wanted to know if it is pre-adjudicated, IO said it does not show in their system....To follow it is so frustrating

EAD Efiling was done on Monday 06/23, but haven't used AC21 till now.
But there is a soft LUD on 485s (both mine and my wife's ) on 06/25.
I don't know exactly what is, but i think it's related to EAD renewal. Because my PD is Nov/2003 EB3 india and there is no way i'm near the end of road for GC
