I am in Austin, I got my FP done on 10/11 in San Antonio. It was a pleasant experience if you go early. My applicatoin was reached NSC on 2nd July. Got EAD, but no AP yet.

Hi,
I applied for H1 last year and got H1 approved for 9 months. (they counted all my stay on H4). Now H1 expired on 25th Nov and applied for H4 on 15th Nov before H1B expires.
I wants to take advantage of New memo of USCIS. Can I apply for H1B with different employer than earlier one while my H4 case is pending?
Or shall I wait until I gets H4 approval and they apply for H1B.
Please help me on this.

On Monday USCIS was showing that my EAD card has been ordered and today it changed to Approval notice sent....
What is the difference between these two, anyone?
I know both of them sound like music to my ears but want to know WHEN exactly should I be expecting the actual EAD...

H1 with company (X) was denied on May 2008, but made appeal to it and its in the process.
during the same time
i have applied for H1 transfer to company (Y) through consular processing. I got approval.
If i go for Visa Stamping would it be a problem. Live around Ca. planning to go for Tijuana, Mexico.

Company (y) says it won't generate pay stubb unless u get visa stamped. Do i really need pay stubb(s) with
company(Y) in order to go for stamping.or its okay to go with company (X) paystubs.
My paystubs are still with company (x) till month of May 2008.
how good are chances of getting visa if im going for stamping in month of July, 2008

As long as company's tax id remains same, it does not matter. Talk to your attorney.

Because of those 3000 calls, Sen. Brown decided to be the 60th vote for the cloture, ultimately resulting in financial reform.

My mother recently got a tourist visa for 10 years. I know that when she enters USA she will get I-94 which will be valid for 6 months, and she has to go back before the I-94 expires. My question is:
1) Can she go back to India for say 2 months and come back to US to stay for another 6 months?
Ex: she comes on 1st Jan 2011 , goes back 31st June 2011 , then stay for couple of months in India and Again Come Back on 1st Sep and stay for more 6 months ?
According to my understanding tourist can stay only 6 months in USA in a calendar year, provided they don’t apply for extension, is it true?
2) What if she comes on 1st Jan 2011 stays for 6 months, applies for 6 months extension gets it.
Goes back in month of Dec. stays for 2 months and again comes on March 1st 2012, will she face any problem at port of entry? Due to her extension she took on her last visit?

All i know is that as of yesterday there were only 18000 applications for Masters quota.
Why did not they get filled as fast as the Regular quota?
This is the reasoning my lawyer gave....
"Most of the applicants for Master's quota were in confusion after April 3 after reading several bulletins about 200,000 or so H1-B applications. And some people didn't even apply thinking that the USCIS may have received more than enough master's quota applications even though the bulletin said that they were accepting more applications for Master's quota."
I know of people who have submitted fresh H1-B applications under master's quota as late as April 7th.
So guys, wait for the official numbers. Don't believe me. But do compare when the official news is released.
I am surprised by the slow pace of Master's applications.

Even I did not get any 2nd FP notice till date and my first FP was r done during Sept 2007.
Every one with whom I spoke to also did not receive their FP notices yet.

Just reply on a separate piece of paper explaining the relevant details, as asked. Thats what we did. Can't remember details now but things like "I-485 was applied in so and so month as a dependent in so and so month." Some information about the primary, relation to primary and such. You can add the A number (we didn't have it at that time).

Hi everyone,
I got my labor approved under perm on Sept 11th however I have not filed for I140 as yet. This is because of employer making n reasons to file the same. Anyways, if the 45 day rule comes into play - does my labor get cancelled as it has been more than 45 days since it has been approved or does the 45 day period start after April 26th. How many of you think this rule will come out. I hope it does. That way employers will have no choice but to file I 140. A lot of employers now adays are stalling filing the same since they fear the employee will move. Am I the only one facing the same problem or are there others as well?
